ด้วยสถานการณ์ COVID-19 ทำให้หนุ่มๆ WayV ไม่ได้มาหาแฟนๆ ชาวไทยนานมากกว่า 1 ปีแล้ว แน่นอนว่า WayZenni ต้องคิดถึงพวกเขาอย่างแน่นอน หลังจากจบโปรเจกต์ยักษ์ NCT 2020 เรียบร้อยแล้ว WayV ก็ไม่รอช้า คัมแบ็คด้วยเพลงใหม่สุดติดหู “Kick Back” พร้อมมินิอัลบั้มใหม่ชุดที่ 3 ทันที นอกจากนี้ยังแว่วๆ มาว่าหนุ่มๆ เตรียมคอนเทนต์พิเศษๆ อีกมากมายให้แฟนๆ ได้ชมกันอีกด้วย ถึงตัวจะห่างกัน แต่หนุ่มๆ WayV ไม่เคยปล่อยให้พวกเราเหงากันเลยนะ ว่าไหม?

Sanook Music มีโอกาสได้สัมภาษณ์พิเศษกับหนุ่มๆ ทั้ง 7 คน คุน (KUN), เตนล์ (TEN), วินวิน (WINWIN), ลูคัส (LUCAS), เซียวจวิ้น (XIAOJUN), เฮนเดอรี่ (HENDERY) และ หยางหยาง (YANGYANG) ถึงผลงานล่าสุด เบื้องหลังสนุกๆ เมาท์มอยเรื่องสัตว์เลี้ยงแสนน่ารักประจำบ้าน และสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวในไทยที่อยากจะไป พร้อมรูปเซลฟี่สุด Exclusive ที่มีที่ Sanook Music ที่เดียว

คัมแบ็คล่าสุดกับเพลง “Kick Back” พร้อมมินิอัลบั้มชุดที่ 3 เพลงพูดถึงอะไร และแตกต่างจากเพลงในอัลบั้มก่อนหน้านี้อย่างไรบ้าง?

XIAOJUN (เซียวจวิ้น): เพลงไตเติ้ล “Kick Back” เป็นเพลงแดนซ์แนว Progressive R&B ที่ติดหูมากๆ เลยครับ ในเนื้อเพลงจะมีใจความว่า ‘พวกเรามารวมตัวกันในสถานที่แห่งความลับของพวกเราเอง แล้วพวกเราก็สนุกสนานไปกับความเป็นอิสระและร่วมวาดฝันถึงอนาคตข้างหน้าไปด้วยกัน’ ซึ่งทุกคนสามารถสัมผัสได้ถึงพลังของ WayV ครับ

KUN (คุน): เปรียบเทียบกับเพลงไตเติ้ลก่อนหน้านี้ เพลงนี้จะมีบรรยากาศของความสนุกไปด้วยกัน และความเป็นอิสระที่มากขึ้นครับ ซึ่งเพลงก่อนหน้านี้ จะมีความร้อนแรงและเท่ๆ ส่วนเพลงนี้ คุณจะรู้สึกถึงบรรยากาศของการที่ได้มาเล่น และสนุกไปด้วยกันครับ
 

เบื้องหลังการถ่ายทำมิวสิควิดีโอ และถ่ายภาพโปรโมต มีช่วงสนุกๆ มาเล่าให้ฟังบ้างไหม?

YANGYANG (หยางหยาง): สำหรับการถ่ายทำ (คอนเซปต์) อัลบั้มนี้ พวกเราต้องแสดงให้เห็นถึงบรรยากาศที่ดูเหมือนฝันครับ และเนื่องจากการถ่ายทำที่ใช้เวลานาน สมาชิกเองก็มีเหนื่อยกันบ้าง เลยทำให้เราสามารถแสดงความรู้สึกเหมือนฝันออกมาได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติยิ่งขึ้นกว่าเดิมครับ

TEN (เตนล์): ตอนถ่ายภาพโปรโมตของอัลบั้มนี้ ผมติดแฮร์พีชหลายแบบเลยครับ เพื่อโชว์ให้เห็นมุมมองที่หลากหลายที่แตกต่างจากใน MV ครับ ผมได้ทำการศึกษาหาข้อมูลเพื่อการถ่ายทำครั้งนี้มาเยอะมากครับ ผมใส่ใจในทุกอย่าง ทั้งการแต่งหน้า การตกแต่งทรงผม เครื่องประดับ และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย ผมเลยสนุกกับการถ่ายทำมากครับ

ท่าเต้นเพลง “Kick Back” ในครั้งนี้ค่อนข้างง่ายที่แฟนๆ จะเต้นตาม เลยมีคนทำชาเลนจ์ในเพลงนี้เยอะเลย แต่หลายคนไม่แน่ใจว่าควรทำหน้ายังไงระหว่างเต้น ทำหน้าทะเล้นๆ หน้าเท่ๆ ชิคๆ หรือจะทำหน้าตาน่ารักดี? ช่วยบอกวิธีเต้น “Kick Back” ให้ออกมาเจ๋งที่สุดให้หน่อย

YANGYANG (หยางหยาง): ผมคิดว่า คุณสามารถแสดงออกได้อย่างอิสระตามที่คุณเข้าใจเลยครับ สมาชิก WayV เองก็เพลิดเพลินกับเพลงนี้อย่างอิสระ และเต้นไปพร้อมกับการแสดงออกอย่างเป็นธรรมชาติครับ

LUCAS (ลูคัส): เรื่องของการแสดงออกทางสีหน้านั้น ถ้าคุณได้ชมเวทีการแสดงเพลง “Kick Back” คุณก็จะรู้ได้ทันทีเลยครับ

KUN (คุน): หลายๆ คนอาจจะทราบกันแล้วนะครับ แต่ทุกครั้งที่ผมร้อง “Kick-kick-kick-kick-kick-kick-Back” มันทำให้ผมยิ้มออกมา เป็นเพราะรูปปากของผมนั่นเองครับ ดังนั้น ผมคิดว่า คงจะเยี่ยมไปเลยถ้าลองทำตามผมกันนะครับ

WINWIN (วินวิน): ถ้าคุณปล่อยความสดใสร่าเริงในความชิคนั้นออกมาได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ มันอาจจะกลายเป็นเสน่ห์ที่คาดไม่ถึงเลยก็ได้นะครับ

ในปี 2020 ที่ผ่านมา เราได้เห็นผลงานอันหลากหลายจาก WayV ไม่ว่าจะเป็นอัลบั้มเต็มชุดแรก Awaken The World คอนเสิร์ตออนไลน์ใน Beyond Live อย่าง WayV - Beyond the Vision คิดว่าช่วงเวลาที่ชอบมากที่สุดในปี 2020 คือช่วงไหน? 

KUN (คุน): ปี 2020 เป็นปีที่มีความหมายสำหรับ WayV มากๆ ครับ พวกเราปล่อยอัลบั้มเต็มชุดแรก Awaken The World และได้รับคำชื่นชมจากแฟนเพลงของเรา ถึงแม้ว่าเราจะเสียใจมากๆ ที่ไม่มีโอกาสได้เจอกับ WayZenNi แต่พวกเราก็ได้จัดคอนเสิร์ต Beyond LIVE ผ่านทางออนไลน์ และมีความสุขมากๆ ที่ได้เจอกับ WayZenNi จากทั่วโลกในรูปแบบที่พิเศษ ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่น่าจดจำมากๆ เลยครับ

WINWIN (วินวิน): พวกเราเสียใจที่ไม่ได้ทำการแสดงโชว์บนเวทีแบบสดๆ ให้แฟนๆ ของเราเนื่องจากโควิด-19 แต่ทว่า ยังดีที่สามารถทำการแสดงโชว์ใหม่ๆ ของพวกเราผ่านรูปแบบพิเศษต่างๆ ได้ครับ และเมื่อปีที่แล้ว 2020 สัตว์เลี้ยงแสนน่ารักได้เข้ามาอยู่กับพวกเราที่บ้านครับ พวกเราปลื้มใจมากที่ได้เห็นเด็กน้อยเหล่านั้นเติบโตขึ้นครับ

WayV ทำงานอย่างหนักและยุ่งอยู่ตลอดเวลา แต่ก็ยังแสดงพลังออกมาอย่างเต็มเปี่ยมอยู่ตลอด เวลาเหนื่อยมากๆ จนไม่อยากทำอะไร พวกคุณมีวิธีชาร์จพลังให้ตัวเองได้อย่างไรบ้าง?

WINWIN (วินวิน): พวกเราพูดคุยกันเยอะมากครับ และถ้าเรามีสิ่งที่กังวล เราก็จะพยายามแก้ปัญหาไปด้วยกันเสมอครับ พวกเราเล่นกีฬา ไม่ก็เล่นเกมเยอะมากครับ

YANGYANG (หยางหยาง): ตอนที่พวกเราอยู่ด้วยกัน พวกเราจะชอบหยอกกันเล่นเพื่อเพิ่มพลังให้แก่กันครับ เวลาที่พวกเราเหนื่อยล้า พวกเราจะพักให้ได้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะเป็นไปได้ เพื่อฟื้นฟูพลังของเราครับ

TEN (เตนล์): ผมไม่เคยลืมที่จะทานวิตามินทุกวันครับ และผมเติมพลังด้วยการเล่นกับน้องๆ ที่น่ารักของพวกเราครับ โดยเฉพาะหยางหยางเลยครับ (หัวเราะ) และผมก็ได้รับพลังเยอะมากจากการเล่นกับสัตว์เลี้ยงที่บ้านของเราครับ

ถ้าแต่ละคนได้เป็น YouTuber กันอย่างจริงจัง คิดว่าจะทำคอนเทนต์อะไรในช่องของตัวเองบ้าง?

YANGYANG (หยางหยาง): สมาชิกของเรากำลังเตรียมคอนเทนต์ที่หลากหลายกันอยู่ครับ ดังนั้น ช่วยตั้งตารอกันเยอะๆ นะครับ

KUN (คุน): ถ้าแฟนๆ ของเราส่งไอเดียเจ๋งๆ มาให้เราเยอะๆ พวกเราก็จะนำมาสร้างคอนเทนต์ดีๆ เยอะๆ ให้แฟนๆ ของเราทุกคนได้ดูกันครับ

TEN (เตนล์): ตอนนี้พวกเราก็กำลังเตรียมกันอยู่นะครับ และเราจะโชว์คอนเทนต์ดีๆ เยอะๆ ให้กับทุกคนเลยครับ รอติดตามกันด้วยนะครับ

แฟนๆ อยากรู้เรื่องสัตว์เลี้ยงของพวกคุณมากๆ (Louis, Leon และ Bella) มีเรื่องอะไรสนุกๆ อยากแชร์ให้แฟนๆ ได้ฟังกันบ้างไหม?

XIAOJUN (เซียวจวิ้น): มี 1 อย่างที่ผมสงสัยเกี่ยวกับสัตว์เลี้ยงของเราครับ คือ Bella (สุนัข) อยากที่จะเล่นกับพวกแมว (Louis และ Leon) อยู่ตลอดเลยครับ แต่ผมสงสัยว่าพวกแมวไม่อยากเล่นกับ Bella หรือ พวกแมวเองก็อยากเล่นกับ Bella กันแน่ ไม่นานมานี้ ผมได้เห็นเหตุการณ์ที่สามารถคลี่คลายความสงสัยนี้ได้ครับ วันหนึ่ง Bella ขึ้นมานอนบนเตียงของผม แล้วอยู่ดีๆ Louis ก็เดินเข้ามาในห้องผมอย่างเงียบๆ แล้วตี Bella เบาๆ และวิ่งหนีออกไปไปทันทีครับ ผมเลยค้นพบความจริงว่า พวกมันเองก็อยากจะเล่นด้วยกันอยู่ตลอดครับ

KUN (คุน): ไม่นานมานี้ เตียงนอนของผมกลายเป็นสถานที่สุดฮอตมากเลยครับ บางครั้ง Bella ก็ปีนขึ้นมาและงีบหลับ ส่วน Louis และ Leon เองก็ขึ้นมาบนเตียงและทำท่าน่ารักๆ ด้วยครับ

LUCAS (ลูคัส): มีวันหนึ่งครับ ทันทีที่ผมถึงบ้าน ผมกำลังมองหาแมว พร้อมเรียกชื่อพวกมันไปด้วย แต่มีเพียงแค่ Louis ตัวเดียวที่ไม่ออกมาโชว์ตัวให้เห็นเลย ซึ่งผมมารู้ทีหลังว่า Louis กำลังนอนหลับสนิทอยู่ในตู้เสื้อผ้าครับ

แฟนๆ ชอบคลิปเต้น “Bad Alive” Performance เวอร์ชั่น Princess กันมากๆ ถ้ามีโอกาสได้สวมชุดแฟนซีอีกในอนาคต อยากจะใส่ชุดอะไรกันบ้าง?

YANGYANG (หยางหยาง): กระแสตอบรับจากการแต่งตัวคอสเพลย์เป็นเจ้าหญิงครั้งล่าสุดนี้ดีมากๆ เลยครับ ดังนั้น ถ้าได้ทำอีกครั้ง ผมอยากจะลองแต่งตัวเป็นคาแรกเตอร์ตัวร้ายดูบ้างครับ อย่างเช่น “ฮาร์ลีย์ ควินน์” ครับ

HENDERY (เฮนเดอรี): ผมอยากแต่งตัวเป็น “องค์กรชุดดำ” จากการ์ตูนเรื่อง ยอดนักสืบโคนันครับ

TEN (เตนล์): ผมอยากแต่งตัวเป็น “Maleficent” ครับ

XIAOJUN (เซียวจวิ้น): ผมอยากแต่งตัวเป็น “คู่แฝด” จากในเรื่อง Alice in Wonderland กับพี่คุนครับ

LUCAS (ลูคัส): ผมอยากลองแต่งตัวเป็นคาแรกเตอร์ตัวร้ายผู้หญิงครับ ผมคิดว่ามันจะต้องสนุกแน่เลยครับ ถ้าให้แฟนๆ ลองโหวตกันก็น่าจะดีนะครับ

แฟนๆ ได้ชมเรียลลิตี้ WayVision 2 กันไปแล้ว ถ้ามีโอกาสได้มาถ่ายทำ WayVision ที่ประเทศไทย อยากจะไปที่ไหน และอยากทำอะไรด้วยกันบ้าง?

HENDERY (เฮนเดอรี): ผมไม่ได้ไปประเทศไทยมากนัก เลยไม่ค่อยรู้จักสถานที่เท่าไรครับ ผมอยากจะขอให้เตนล์พาผมไปยังสถานที่ต่างๆ ในประเทศไทยครับ

WINWIN (วินวิน): ถ้าผมไปประเทศไทย ผมอยากทานอาหารท้องถิ่นอร่อยๆ เยอะๆ และก็อยากไปเที่ยวที่บ้านของเตนล์ด้วยครับ

TEN (เตนล์): ในฐานะที่ผมเป็นไกด์ของสมาชิกเรานะครับ ผมอยากจะชวนสมาชิกทุกคนมาที่บ้านของผม และใช้เวลาทานมื้อเย็นกับพวกเขาครับ หลังจากนั้นผมอยากไปภูเขา และเริ่มเล่นพวก Survival Game ครับ ล้อเล่นนะครับ~ ผมหวังว่าจะได้ไปเที่ยวเขาใหญ่ เชียงใหม่ ฯลฯ ครับ ถ้าเรามีเวลา ผมก็อยากนั่งเรือยอร์ชไปเที่ยวเกาะกับสมาชิกของเราครับ

สุดท้ายแล้ว ฝากอะไรถึงแฟนๆ ชาวไทยหน่อย

TEN (เตนล์): เมื่อสถานการณ์ดีขึ้นและมีโอกาส ผมอยากไปประเทศไทย พบกับ WayZenNi ที่ประเทศไทย และร่วมสร้างความทรงจำดีๆ ด้วยกันครับ พวกเราเตรียมเพลงใหม่กันอย่างต่อเนื่อง ดังนั้นช่วยตั้งตารอกันเยอะๆ เลยนะครับ

With COVID-19 situation, WayV has no chance to meet Thai fans for more than one year. So Thai WayZenni may miss them a lot. After the giant project NCT 2020, WayV comes back right away with new song “Kick Back” and new 3rd mini album. Moreover, they seem to prepare some special contents for all of us and they’re going to be released soon. Even though we're far apart, they never let us feel lonely, do they?

Sanook Music had a chance to do an exclusive interview with KUN, TEN, WINWIN, LUCAS, XIAOJUN, HENDERY and YANGYANG about their latest work, some fun moment from behind-the-scenes, their lovely pets at home and their favorite places in Thailand that they’d like to visit. There are also some exclusive selfies photos only available here at Sanook Music.

About your latest comeback, could you please give us more details about it, the title track ‘Kick Back’ of 3rd Mini Album, and what is the song about? And how is it different from other songs you’ve ever done?

XIAOJUN: The title track “Kick Back” is the dance, progressove R&B song with catchy sound. The lyric is about ‘we gather in our own secret place and have some fun from being free and dream of our future ahead’, which you can feel WayV’s power.

KUN: Compared to the previous title track, this song has a fun and free vibe, which is different from the previous song that has a hot and cool sound. With “Kick Back”, you may feel the joy and fun of us playing together.

 

While filming an MV or jacket album, are there any funny behind-the-scenes stories that you would like to tell us?

YANGYANG: For shooting in this (concept) album, we’d like to show the dreamy atmosphere. Because the shooting took so long, the members got tired a little bit, so we acted and showed the emotions as if we were dreaming in a more natural way.

TEN: For this album’s photo shooting, I put on various types of hairpieces to show various looks that are more different from the music video. I searched a lot for this shooting and took care for everything like make-up, hair, accessories and stuff. So I enjoyed this shooting a lot.

 

The “Kick Back” choreography is easy for fans to follow the dance. There are a lot of people who do Challenge but when doing Kick Back’s challenge, they don’t know which facial expression they should do between naughty face or chic face or cute face? Please tell us how to do a great dance of “Kick Back”.

YANGYANG: I think you can express it freely in the way that you want. WayV members also enjoy this song freely, dance and perform this song naturally too.

LUCAS: For the facial expression, if you want our “Kick Back” performance, you will find the answer right away.

KUN: Many of you may know that everytime I sing “Kick-kick-kick-kick-kick-kick-Back”, it makes me smile because of the mouth shape for singing it. So it would be great if you can try singing it like me.

WINWIN: If you can show your lively vibe through your chic look in a natural way, it may be your unexpected charm.

 

In 2020 we saw many works of WayV which are WayV’s 1st full album Awaken The World and WayV Beyond LIVE concert (WayV - Beyond the Vision). What are your favorite moments of 2020 and why?

KUN: 2020 is a very meaningful year for WayV as we released our first full album Awaken The World and got positive feedback from our fans. Even though we are so sorry that we cannot meet our WayZenni, we still held the online Beyond LIVE concert and were very happy to meet WayZenni from all around the world in a special way, which is a very memorable moment.

WINWIN: We feel sorry that we cannot give a live performance to the fans because of the COVID-19, but we still have new shows and we still can do a lot of special performances. Moreover, in 2020 we had our lovely pets to stay with us at our home, so we were so glad that we could see our little babies grow.

 

WayV is very busy in doing work. Despite that, all of you are showing us energetic aspects all the time. When you feel too tired to do anything, please tell us the best way to power up yourself again or overcome it.

WINWIN: We talk to each other a lot. If we have some worries, we will try to solve the problems together. We also play sports or games together very often.

YANGYANG: When we’re together, we love teasing each other to gain more power. When we’re tired, we will try to take some rest as much as possible to recharge ourselves.

TEN: I never forget to take some vitamins everyday and power up myself by playing with our little lovely brothers, especially with YANGYANG (laugh). And I also gain power from playing with our pets in our house.

 

If each of WayV members could be a professional YouTuber, what would you like to do in your channel?

YANGYANG: Our members are preparing many contents, so please look forward to it a lot.

KUN: If our fans send us a lot of cool ideas, we will create some contents from them for the fans to watch.

TEN: Right now we’re preparing for it and we will show you all some good contents. Please stay tuned for that.

 

Many fans would like to know about your pets (Louis, Leon and Bella). Do you have any stories about them to share to your fans?

XIAOJUN: One thing that I’m curious about my Bella (a dog). Bella wants to play with the cats (Louis and Leon) all the time. But I’m curious that the cats don’t want to play with Bella or they also want to play with her. Recently, I got an answer to my question. One day Bella came to sleep on bed, but Louis walked into my room quietly and hit Bella softly and then ran away. So I discovered that the cats also want to play with Bella all the time too.

KUN: Recently, my bed is a hot place for them. Sometimes Bella came up and took a nap, and Louis and Leon also came up and did a cute pose.

LUCAS: One day, as soon as I arrived home, I was looking for the cats and called their names, but only Louis never showed up. Later, I knew that Louis was sleeping tightly in the wardrobe.

 

“Bad Alive” Performance (Princess version) has really impressed many fans. If you could wear a fancy dress in the future, which theme of dress would you want to wear? And why?

YANGYANG: The feedback from princess cosplaying this time is really really good. So if we can make it again next time, I’d like to dress as a villain character like “Harley Quinn”

HENDERY: I’d like to dress as a “Black Organization Member” from Detective Conan.

TEN: I’d like to dress as “Maleficent”.

XIAOJUN: I’d like to dress as a “Twin” from Alice in Wonderland with KUN.

LUCAS: I’d like to dress as some female villains. I think it’s going to be fun. If the fans can vote for the best choice for me, it would be great.

 

WayVision 2 has been released. If you have a chance to film WayVision in Thailand, where would you like to go and what would you like to do together?

HENDERY: I haven’t visited Thailand often, so I don’t know much about the places there. I’d like TEN to take me to various places in Thailand.

WINWIN: If I can go to Thailand, I’d love to try many local foods and also visit TEN’s house.

TEN: As a guide of our members, I’d like to invite them all to my house and spend some time having dinner together. After that, I’d like to go to the mountain and play the survival game… just kidding~ I hope we can visit Khao Yai, Chiang Mai etc. If we have enough time, I’d like to travel on a yacht and go to an island with the members.
