เป็นเวลากว่า 8 ปีแล้วที่ เตนล์-ชิตพล ลี้ชัยพรกุล โลดแล่นอยู่ในวงการเพลงเกาหลีในฐานะศิลปินที่ควบตำแหน่งเมนแดนซ์ (ที่ควบตำแหน่งลีดโวคอลด้วย) วิชวล และเสน่ห์อันโดดเด่นจนทำให้มีผลงานหลากหลายทั้งการเปิดตัว NCT ครั้งแรกในเพลง “The 7th Sense” หรือจะเป็นศิลปินดูโอกับ แทยง ใน “Baby Don’t Stop” ในยูนิต NCT U เพลงเดี่ยวอย่าง “Dream In A Dream” และ “New Heroes” รวมไปถึงการเป็นสมาชิกวง WayV และ SuperM ซึ่งนอกจากงานเพลงแล้ว เขายังมีความสามารถอันโดดเด่นในด้านศิลปะจนทำให้ได้ออกแบบคอลเลคชั่นเสื้อผ้ากับแบรนด์ REPRESENT อีกด้วย

ได้ปล่อยเพลงโซโล่เป็นเพลงที่ 3 ในโปรเจกต์ SM STATION รู้สึกอย่างไรบ้าง?

เตนล์: รอบนี้เตนล์ก็กลับมากับ STATION โซโล่รอบที่ 3 เพลง "Paint Me Naked" แตกต่างจากเพลง "New Heroes" และเพลง "Dream In A Dream" เพราะว่าเป็นเพลงที่ออกเป็นแนวสนุก และเป็นป็อป ร็อค มีความสดใส และความเป็นอิสระของตัวเตนล์เอง รู้สึกว่าเพลงนี้ เป็นเพลงที่สามารถเป็นตัวแทนเตนล์ในตอนนี้ได้ดีที่สุดครับ อยากให้ทุกคนติดตาม "Paint Me Naked" เยอะๆ ด้วยนะครับ

เพลงนี้เกี่ยวกับอะไร และเตนล์มีส่วนร่วมอะไรในเพลงนี้บ้าง?

เตนล์: เพลง "Paint Me Naked" ก็เป็นเพลงแนวป็อป ร็อค มีโซโล่กีตาร์ และเมโลดี้ที่ถ้าฟังแล้วจะรู้เลยว่า ติดหูมากครับ รอบนี้เตนล์ก็ได้มีส่วนร่วมเกี่ยวกับเรื่องการเต้น เสื้อผ้า แล้วก็แนวเพลงครับ

มีท่อนไหนที่ชอบเป็นพิเศษบ้างไหม?

เตนล์: พาร์ทที่เตนล์ชอบอาจจะเป็นช่วงท่อนคอรัสหลังครับ “Love the way you posing when we painting, yeah. Lookin’ at you girl, I can’t control it” เตนล์ว่ามันมีความติดหูมากๆ และก็มีความชิลล์ในทำนองก็เลยชอบ เพราะว่ามันเท่ดีครับ

เพื่อนๆ ใน WayV ได้ฟังเพลงหรือยัง มีใครให้ feedback กลับมาบ้างไหม?

เตนล์: ตอนนี้ยังไม่ได้ให้เมมเบอร์ฟังกันมากครับ มีหยางหยางได้ฟังแล้ว ก็คุยกับหยางหยาง หยางหยางก็ชอบ หยางหยางบอกว่าชอบท่อนคอรัสสุดท้าย เพราะว่ามีเสียงกีตาร์เหมือนแนวร็อค และหยางหยางก็บอกว่า น่าทึ่งมากครับ

ภาพที่เตนล์ฝึกดำน้ำที่ลงใน Instagram สวยมาก ฝึกยากไหม?

เตนล์: ช่วงนี้เวลาว่างๆ ก็ไปเรียนดำน้ำครับ เตนล์มีไอเดียที่อยากจะลองท้าทายดูอยู่ครับ ตอนนี้ไปเรียนมา 2 ครั้งแล้ว ครั้งแรกก็ไปฝึกที่ตื้นๆ แล้วตอนนี้รอบที่ 2 ก็ฝึกที่ไปลึกๆ มากๆ เลย ยากที่ต้องพยายามเคลียร์หู ก็คือเวลาลงไปในน้ำลึกๆ ต้องบีบจมูกแล้วก็พยายามใช้กล้ามเนื้อตรงหูเพื่อเอาน้ำออก ส่วนนั้นเป็นอะไรที่ยากมาก แต่ก็สนุกครับ

ช่วงนี้ได้ทำกิจกรรมอะไรกับเมมเบอร์ WayV และ NCT คนอื่นๆ บ้างไหม?

เตนล์: ก็มีกินข้าวกับ เจโน่ เหรินจวิ้น NCT ครับ ส่วน WayV ลูคัส กลับมาจากจีนแล้ว ก็เจอกัน กินข้าวกัน และคุยเล่นกันครับ

ลูอี ลีออน เบลล่า มีวีรกรรมอะไรใหม่ๆ บ้างไหม?

เตนล์: น้องลูอี น้องลีออน และน้องเบลล่าก็สบายดีครับ แต่ตอนนี้ไม่ค่อยได้เจอกัน เพราะเบลล่าจะอยู่ห้องข้างบน และลูอีก็อยู่กับเตนล์ครับ ไม่มีอะไรแปลกใหม่มากก็แค่ ลีออนขี้อ้อนมากขึ้น และลูอีก็พูดเยอะขึ้น เมื่อก่อนเขาไม่ค่อยพูดเลย แต่เดี๋ยวนี้พูดเยอะมาก ส่วนเบลล่า เวลาเตนล์ขึ้นไปชั้นบน เขาก็จะดีใจมากที่ได้เจอเมมเบอร์คนอื่นครับ

เพิ่งจะ sold out ไลน์เสื้อผ้าของตัวเองที่ Collaboration กับ REPRESENT รู้สึกยังไงบ้าง?

เตนล์: ถ้ามีโอกาสดีๆ แบบ REPRESENT ก็อยากจะออกแบบเสื้อผ้าอีกครับ เพราะรอบนั้นเป็นรอบแรก ก็ยังไม่มั่นใจว่า เราจะต้องดีไซน์ให้ได้แบบไหน แต่ก็ได้ลองรอบหนึ่งแล้ว ก็ได้เรียนรู้ประสบการณ์ใหม่ๆ เลยอยากจะลองพัฒนา อยากลองทำอะไรเกี่ยวกับเครื่องประดับ เช่น สร้อยคอ สร้อยข้อมือ หรือไม่ก็เป็นพวกเสื้อผ้าแบบใส่สบายๆ อย่างชุดนอนครับ เตนล์ก็รู้สึกขอบคุณทุกคนมากๆ ครับ ที่ช่วยรักและสนับสนุนการ Collaboration กับ REPRESENT ครั้งแรก หวังว่าในอนาคตจะได้มีโอกาสดีๆ เตนล์ก็จะพยายามเต็มที่ในการผลิตอะไรที่ดูดีให้ทุกคนได้ใส่กันนะครับ ขอบคุณครับ

ตั้งแต่ TEN ใน SMROOKIES จนถึง TEN ในทุกวันนี้ก็ผ่านมาจะ 8 ปีแล้ว คิดว่าตัวเองโตขึ้นในด้านไหนบ้าง และอยากพัฒนาความสามารถของตัวเองในด้านไหนอีกบ้าง?

เตนล์: สิ่งที่อยากทำยังเหมือนเดิม อยากทำเกี่ยวกับเรื่องดนตรีครับ ตั้งแต่ SMROOKIES ผ่านมา 8 ปีแล้ว รู้สึกว่าที่เปลี่ยนไปอาจจะเกี่ยวกับความคิดครับ ความคิด มุมมองในการดูท่าเต้น ไม่ก็เพลง หรือทักษะในการร้องเพลง หรือว่าการเต้นก็จะมีเปลี่ยนไปตามเวลา เพราะเทรนด์มันก็เปลี่ยนไปเรื่อยๆ ที่เปลี่ยนมากสุดอาจจะเป็นสภาพแวดล้อมที่เปลี่ยนไป แต่ตัวเตนล์เองไม่ค่อยเปลี่ยน ก็โตขึ้น แต่ไม่ได้มีอะไรเปลี่ยนไปมากขนาดนั้นครับ

ก่อนหน้านี้เตนล์ไปคาเฟ่กับแจฮยอน และคุยเรื่องอนาคตว่าอยากทำอะไร คืนนั้นเตนล์ตอบแจฮยอนไปว่ายังไง?

เตนล์: อันนั้นเป็นความลับอยู่นะครับ ไม่สามารถบอกได้ ก็เลยเก็บเป็นความลับก่อน ถ้ามีโอกาสหน้าจะบอกให้ครับ (ยิ้ม)

เตนล์เป็นคนชอบลองทำอะไรใหม่ๆ เยอะมากตั้งแต่เด็กๆ ในอนาคตเตนล์อยากลองทำอะไรบ้าง ที่ตอนนี้ยังไม่มีโอกาสได้ลอง

เตนล์: ในอนาคตมีอะไรที่เตนล์อยากลองทำหลายอย่างเลยครับ อย่างช่วงนี้มีไปเล่นกระโดดร่มกับหยางหยาง แบบที่ไม่ได้กระโดดจากท้องฟ้าแต่เล่นในอุโมงค์ลมครับ เหมือนบินได้ ก็เลยอยากจะลองทำอันนั้น และลองเต้นดูด้วยว่าจะรู้สึกยังไง ก็เป็นงานอดิเรกที่อยากลองทำ อยากลองท้าทายครับ และก็ในอนาคต ตอนนี้ยังไม่รู้ว่าอยากจะทำอะไร ก็ต้องดูโน่นนี่นั่น แล้วถ้ามีแรงบันดาลใจใหม่ๆ ก็อาจจะลองทำทุกอย่างที่คิดได้ครับ

ที่ผ่านมาได้ video call กับแฟนๆ ชาวไทยเยอะมาก มีคำพูดจากแฟนคลับชาวไทยที่ประทับใจ และยังจำได้จนถึงทุกวันนี้บ้างไหม?

เตนล์: มีครับ ช่วงนี้เป็นเพราะโคโรน่าก็อาจจะไม่ได้เจอแฟนๆ ตัวต่อตัว แต่เราจะมีแบบออนไลน์แฟนไซน์ใช่ไหมครับ คำพูดที่แฟนไทยให้กับเตนล์ และที่แบบยังจำได้ตลอดเลยก็คือ "ชอบที่เตนล์ทำสิ่งที่เตนล์ทำอยู่ตอนนี้ พวกเราซัพพอร์ตเตนล์นะ" และ "ไม่ต้องกลัวที่จะลองทำอะไรใหม่ๆ ให้ทำไปเลย!" อันนี้ครับที่เป็นประโยคที่ยังจำได้ตลอดเลยครับ

ฝากอะไรถึงแฟนๆ ชาวไทย

เตนล์: ไม่ได้เจอแฟนๆ ชาวไทยกันมาเกือบ 2 ปีแล้วนะครับ ก็รู้สึกคิดถึงทุกคนมากๆ เลย อยากจะเจอกัน อยากจะเปิดคอนเสิร์ตที่ประเทศไทย และก็เหมือนเมื่อก่อนที่มาร้องเพลงด้วยกัน แล้วก็อยากจะไปเที่ยวทะเลไทยด้วยครับ กว่าจะถึงตอนนั้น อยากให้ทุกคนดูแลสุขภาพด้วย และมีความสุขกันเยอะๆ และเตนล์เป็นกำลังใจให้ทุกคน ทุกอย่างนะครับ ขอบคุณนะครับ

Sanook’s exclusive interview with TEN-Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, the one and only Thai artist in SM Entertainment, one of the biggest music label in South Korea. He has just come back with his third solo track, “Paint Me Naked” and he’s ready to talk about his latest activities with NCT/WayV members, his first TENxREPRESENT clothing lines, his growth in K-POP industry and the most unforgettable words he received from Thai fans.

It has been 8 years since TEN-Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul has been working in South Korean music industry as an idol, dancer, vocalist and his outstanding skill that has lead him to be one of the first members to introduce NCT to the world with the song, “The 7th Sense”, release a duo track “Baby Don’t Stop” with Taeyong, his bandmate as NCT U, released solo tracks like “Dream In A Dream” and “New Heroes” and also joined as a member of WayV and SuperM. Apart from the music career, his artistic expression is also a phenomenon to be able join REPRESENT, the clothing brand to launch a clothing collaboration with. 

Sanook Music has an exclusive interview with him talking about his third solo track, “Paint Me Naked”, his latest activities with NCT/WayV members, his growth in K-POP industry and the most unforgettable words he received from Thai fans.

How did you feel to release your third SM STATION song?

TEN: I came back with my third SM STATION song. "Paint Me Naked" is different from "New Heroes" and "Dream In A Dream" As it's a fun pop rock song and has a bright and free vibe like myself. I feel like this song represents me the best right now. I hope everyone supports "Paint Me Naked" a lot.

What does this song about and how did you get involved in the song?

TEN: "Paint Me Naked is a pop rock song with a solo guitar and a very ear-catching melody. And I was involved in choreography, clothes and the music.

Please choose your most favorite lines from the song.

TEN: For the song "Paint Me Naked", my favorite part is the post chorus, “Love the way you posing when we painting, yeah. Lookin’ at you girl, I can’t control it.” I think this part is very catchy and also has a chill melody, so I think it's cool.

Has anyone in WayV listened to the song and given some feedback to you? 

TEN: They still haven't heard of it much, but Yangyang got to listen to it. I talked with him and he seems to like it. He said he likes the last chorus. It has a rock guitar sound and he said he was surprised.

The diving photos posted on Instagram are so beautiful. Is it hard to do that?

TEN: Lately, if I have some free time, I'll learn to dive. I had an idea to challenge myself. I had an idea to challenge myself. I learned to dive twice, started from shallow diving, then went deeper for the second time. It's hard to equalize your ears. When you go deep into the water, you need to block your nose and use ear muscles to clear out the water. That part is hard, but still fun.

What have you been doing with WayV and NCT members recently?

TEN: I had a meal with NCT's Jeno and Renjun. WayV's Lucas just came back from China, so we met, had a meal and talked. 

Any new moments from Louis, Leon and Bella now?

TEN: Louis, Leon and Bella are fine. But I haven't met Bella that often, because Bella stays on the upper floor, Louis stays with me. Nothing new, just Leon is more pleading and Louis is more talkative. He didn't talk much before, but now he talks a lot. For Bella, when I went to the upper floor to meet her, she seemed to be happy to meet other members.

How did you feel to see your TENxREPRESENT clothing collection sold out?

TEN: If I had a chance like I had with REPRESENT, I wish I could design clothes again. This was the first time, so I wasn't sure how I should design, but after I tried, I learned a new experience. So I'd like to improve. I'd like to try designing jewelry like necklaces, bracelets or comfortable clothes like pyjamas. I was so thankful to everyone who loved and supported my first time collaboration with REPRESENT. I hope I'll have a good chance in the future to try producing some good clothes for you again. Thank you.

Since SMROOKIES's TEN, it has been almost 8 years. In what ways do you think you've grown up? And what other areas would you like to develop yourself?

TEN: I still want to do the same, all things related to music. It has been 8 years since SMROOKIES, the change might be my thoughts. My thoughts and perspectives of choreography, songs or singing skill, or the choreography that I keep changing from time to time. Updating to the latest trend. But the most changes might be the environment. I don't think I changed much. I grew up but haven't changed that much.

You visited a café with Jaehyun and talked about what you'd like to do in the future. What did you answer Jaehyun that night?

TEN: It's still a secret. I can't tell you, so I'll keep it a secret. If there's a chance, next time I'll tell you.

You have always loved trying new things since you were a kid. What do you want to try in the future that you haven't tried before?

TEN: In the future, I still want to try so much more. Recently, I just tried skydiving with Yangyang. It was indoor skydiving in the wind tunnel. I felt like flying. I want to try that and dance to know how it feels. It's the hobby that I want to try and advance myself. Now I still don't know what I want to do in the future, maybe I should try this and that. If I have a new inspiration, maybe I'll try everything that comes to mind.

You have talked with Thai fans though the video calls a lot. Are there any impressive words that you still remember until now?

TEN: Yes. Because of the corona, I couldn't meet face-to-face with the fans. But we had the online fansign, right? What Thai fans told me and I always remember are "We love what you're doing now, we'll support you" and "Don't be afraid to try something new. Go ahead!" These are what I always remember.

TEN: I haven't met Thai fans for almost 2 years. I miss you so much. I want to meet you and have a concert in Thailand like we used to sing together. And I also want to visit the beach in Thailand.
